In-chair Zoom whitening
Our in-chair option uses Zoom whitening — a high-strength gel that's activated by a specialised light to speed up the whitening reaction. Most people see several shades of improvement in about an hour, all in a single visit, making it the option for anyone who wants a faster result before an event or just doesn't want to commit to a daily routine.
Take-home trays
Prefer to whiten gradually, in your own time? With custom-fitted take-home trays, you wear a lower-strength gel in the trays for a short period each day over one to two weeks — slower than the in-chair option, but very effective, gentler on sensitivity, and easy to top up later with extra gel whenever your smile needs a refresh.
What it won't do
Whitening only works on natural tooth enamel — it won't change the colour of crowns, veneers or fillings, so if you've got visible restorative work at the front of your mouth, it's worth discussing first so you don't end up with a mismatched shade.
Zoom in-chair or take-home trays — which should I choose?
Zoom is the faster option if you want a noticeable result in a single appointment. Take-home trays cost less upfront and let you whiten at your own pace, with the trays reusable for top-ups down the track — we can help you decide at your consultation.
Is whitening safe?
Yes, when done with a professionally fitted tray and controlled gel strength, or under supervision for the in-chair light-activated treatment. Some temporary sensitivity is normal and settles within a day or two.
How long does it last?
Results fade gradually over months to a couple of years depending on your diet (coffee, tea, red wine) and smoking — most people top up occasionally, which is easy with take-home trays you already own.
